Bridging the Gap Between Instrumentation and Agriculture

On 26th March at Harper Adams University, SWIG is hosting the Agriculture & Water: Education through Instrumentation workshop. This event brings together farmers, water companies, and environmental specialists to discuss the real-world challenges of water management in agriculture—and where instrumentation can provide solutions.

Unlike traditional SWIG events, this workshop primarily focuses on end-user perspectives rather than commercial presentations. It offers a rare opportunity for the instrumentation industry to listen directly to end-users about the challenges they face, the data they need, and how they use it to drive better water management.

Why Attend?

With significant funding being allocated to improving water quality, catchment management, and peatland restoration, the need for accurate, real-time data has never been greater. This workshop will provide:

🔹 Insights from the agricultural sector on how they manage water and land

🔹 A deep dive into data needs—what’s missing, what’s useful, and how it’s applied

🔹 Opportunities to network with farmers, regulators, and water companies

🔹 Discussions on the future role of instrumentation in sustainable land management.

Be Part of the Conversation

This is your chance to understand the challenges, explore collaboration opportunities, and help shape the future of water and land management. Whether you provide sensor technology, data solutions, or instrumentation expertise, your presence at this workshop could bridge the gap between technology providers and end-users.

📅 Date: 26th March 2024
