About the event

Workshop Chairs - Kat Dobbs, Anglian Water and Sarah Brooks, Klarian

The workshop will explore the rapidly evolving world of virtual sensors in the water industry. In a series of explainer sessions, we'll hear from physical sensor manufacturers, virtual sensor developers, academic researchers, water companies, and regulators. Together, we'll examine the tangible benefits of these innovations and consider whether they represent real advancement or are simply a case of tech for tech’s sake.

The event will also feature facilitated round table discussions, offering attendees the opportunity to exchange ideas in smaller groups. These discussions will focus on real-world challenges and solutions, with feedback shared openly afterward. A panel discussion will conclude the day, providing a platform for Q&A and audience engagement through a live QR code system.

Networking opportunities will be provided throughout, including during the morning coffee session, lunch, and at the close of the event.
